Evening all! I'm a proud owner of a lovely 2004 350Z, base model. Absolutely love the car, and couldn't have picked a better one.

I plan on keeping this car for a good bit, and will be slowly but surely turning into a beautiful ride. But I need a little help. I would like to change my stock 17" wheels for the Nismo wheels (the forged alloy ones by RAYS), which I believe are 19". But I have also seen they sometimes staggered 18" front, 19" back.

Could anyone enlighten me on not only what size wheels to get, but possibly where to get them from as well? Besides the dealership obviously if possible, which I'm sure jacks up the prices of any and everything it can.

Congratulations on the new purchase and welcome to the Z family!

Here's a 350Z wheel identification article I wrote a while back, with the specs to all the OEM wheels for the 350Z.

You mentioned Nismo wheels though, you're probably referring to the LMGT4 wheels...since they aren't OEM I didn't put their specs in the article, but maybe I should. Here's a quick rundown on the common sizes for the Z.

The Track Version 1 wheels are also forged aluminium and made by Rays...and they're a lot cheaper than the LMGT4's are if you're working with a budget.

Welcome to NICO! :badger

Thanks for the links! I already looked into the wheel identification thread before I asked, which honestly, is the reason I asked about the sizes.

I was on courtesyparts.com, and it seems to have plenty of stuff for 350z's, but the sizes of these 2 wheels:

19"x9" Nismo Wheel
19"x10" Nismo Wheel

They "look" like the wheels made by RAYS, but the width of each of them doesn't quite fit anything else. All the others ones I've found are either 8.5", or 9.5", or something along those lines.

Is there a reputable online store to buy from?

And thanks for the welcome! I really do look forward into turning this car into something special, and will probably post pictures every step of the way!

You have no idea! But man the trouble I went through to get this, lol.

When I was picking out what car I was going to get, my mom told me that she would only get a loan of 12k, anything beyond that and I'd have to pay it up front (the loan is simply in my mom's name, but I'm still forking over every penny to pay for it. Gogo non-existant credit!)

I basically had picked out 2 cars I wanted for myself, the RX-8 or a 350z. I found plenty of RX-8's around well under 10k, there was no issue there. I knew what they looked like up close too, one of my coworkers has one. Decent looking cars. But then, I went and looked at a 350z in person. It looks more amazing in person than it does in pictures. And finally, it happened....

I turned the 350z on. At that very moment, I instantly knew what I wanted. And I spent 2 months hunting down a 6 M/T (which is WAY harder than expected) that was in my price range. Got one for under 12k, with only 83k mileage.

The love I have for this car is indescribable. Not only is it the car I always wanted when it drove by me as a kid, but it's honestly the first car that I have bought/am paying for. Sure it's not quite in my name just yet, but I'm happy to know that it's my own hard earned money paying for me to look damn good.

The girlfriend LOVES the car too. And that's always a bonus. :chuckle:

It's a color I very rarely see. Wasn't my first choice, but it's really grown on me, and I'm not sure if I'll ever change it.
