Hi,

Today while washing the car, I noticed a little square plastic piece on the front bumper that is almost falling off.

I noticed it because it is sticking out of the front bumper like 1/8 ". I can push on it but comes back. I do not have a picture of it but if you don't know what I am talking about it's the little square part under the driver side headlight.

What the he!! is this piece for to begin with? lol

Is there a chance of losing it while driving and end up ordering one from Nissan for like 70 bucks or so?? lol

Thanks!!!

Welcome and congratulations on your new Versa.

The little square piece is the cover for your front tow hook, once you remove the plastic square piece their is a hole to screw in the hook so when you nee a tow they hook up to your front frame member by way of hook so they don't damage the suspension when towing.

^^EDIT- You beat me to it!

That piece on the bumper is the cover plate for the tow hook attachment in your spare tire kit. It should snap in to place firmly and stay. Perhaps you could have your dealer take a look at it.

should be in the glove box or in the back where the spare is in that black baggy.

We've had a couple threads on this, but the end summary is that you probably don't have it in your car if it's not in the glovebox or in the spare tire well. The shipping company has been very hit and miss on putting them back in the car after they take them off the trains from Mexico. If you don't have one in your car, please go back to your dealer and request one at their expense. You can find the part number for the hook in one of the other threads on it from maybe 3 months ago.
