I just ordered a brand new Fascia from Stillen. Upon arrival at the bodyshop the shop foreman inform me that the Fascia is in rough condition (Edges, Small surface crack, Non Drilled Holes, Warping) that he told me this fascia needs extra time to prep (Sanding). and he took me to the back and showed me hes concerns. Well, here are the pictures of the fascia (nothing has been done to it, its still brand new). Let me know what you guys think. opinion is needed so i can call Stillen IF there is problem with this fascia (not including the known sag/gap issue).

Rough edges (I thought its normal, but the guy at the body shop told me this is one of the roughest he have seen on aftermarket)

Hope you guys can shine some light for me, so that i can contact Stillen if this is a problem Fascia. Thanks

The cracks around the 'blades' of the grille look kind of bad, but it looks like they are purely on the surface?

All the rough edges around the head lights and the top part will be completely hidden by the headlights.

The cracks around the Grille are not very deep (Not throught the whole bumper, you can feel it with your nail). The rough edges, the shop told me if they do normal prep work and paint the bumper, the edges will stand out and most likely you ( me ) will not be satisfy with the work if no detail or further hours is spend on prepping it. So what is your take on this Alpha, do you think i should call Stillen and ask them see if they have another bumper thats in better shape or you think ALL bumper come like this. thanks

No lie you guys need to realize how much MONEY you spend on these parts!!! If you recieve it and the part is not perfect when you spend the money you did why would you want to ever buy any car part. I know someone who had a similar issue, just call them tomorrow. Also you didnt recieve what you were supposed to so just return it, they will pay shipping. If they don't call your credit card and tell them that you didn't recieve what you were supposed to they should refund you. This is what you do when this happens but Stillen should answer promptly they seem to always help you out.

Also, any aftermarket body kits require prep. Unless you're paying extra for prep and paint before it being shipped. Although there should not be cracks etc. But drilling your own holes is normal.

I bought the AIT GTR body kit, same issues. Needed to be sanded. holes drilled for each piece etc.

Again, I do agree it is in rough shape, no doubt about that, but any body kit part will need prepping, sanding/possible modification to fit correctly. I just want you to have the right expectations. You're not just going to receive it, have them paint over the gel coat and install it. Doesn't work that way at all.

Hopefully they help you out. :)

Kyle talked to the design team and come to conclusion that the *cracks* and the rough edges came from the molding itself (That means all fascia will come out like this). But Kyle also mention he is going to have the design team to work on the molding for future orders so that the bumper come out a little better and less rough edges/cracks. but long story short, he agree to let me return the bumper and Stillen is going to pay the shipping back.

that sucks, gotta pay extra just to return it... i've never bought anything from stillen before, shipping to where i live is just rediculous. so what do you think you're going to do with the fascia? keep it and pay the extra to have it patched up or return it?

okay .. so call after call.. finally have Stillen to pay the shipping for return.. but It wont be a "Return".. they told me they going to examine this bumper and maybe re-sand it or prep it and then ship it back to me. Should i just tell them to refund my money (At this point that dont seem like an option) or just let them sand/prep the bumper and then ship it back to me (Wouldn't two-way shipping cost more than just give me a full refund?)
