Hi, all.

I'm hoping someone has a thought on this.

I have a new 2019 4wd Rogue SV. I tested extensively until the day I bought the car. The car I had driven and wanted to get was gray and I changed my mind to blue. But I'd driven the Rogues several times. Figured it would be the same.

Wrong.

It was much slower than any other. Same year, model, etc...mine drags. The first third of the gas pedal seems to do nothing. Flooring it mostly works, but it's like the car is either fully throttled or not at all.

I know they're not high power.

I took it to the dealer. They kept it a week. I got a loaner, didn't tell my wife (it was same car as mine but an S and she didn't notice), and she said when she drove it that I figured out the problem. That's how much better the loaner drove. But i didn't figure anything out. Neither did the dealer.

I got the car back. They can't find an issue. No codes. It's just dramatically slower and less responsive to throttle input than any other Rogue.

Any thoughts on why, with no lights or codes, my car feels like I'm towing something and getting little throttle response. If the dealer can't find it, I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks

Maybe yank battery cable to relearn the engine to ECM?

Maybe a TB control issue?

Make sure brakes are not dragging.

If a CVT trans you need some idea of if the gearing under load appears to be right. Is it fulltime 4WD?

Past that engine condition...........compression or cam timing off, if variable not right there either. Variable should pop a code though.

Thanks. I'm used to cars I really know how to work on. With cables actuating things rather than wires.

I did yank cables for ten min. I'll do longer and pump the brakes to try to fully discharge.

It really does seem like a throttle position issue. Is there a manner to reset these electronic ones?

Hi RogueSV19, you can find the throttle position re-learn procedure in the FSM here, http://nicoclub.com/archives/nissan-rog ... nuals.html

It only goes to 2016, but it should be the same for the 2019

Darylzero, I'll try that

Just seems weird on a new car to have to do that

The only thing that makes mine slower to respond is engaging the 'ECO' mode button. I am assuming that was ruled out right away.

Definitely not that simple. And Sport mode doesn't solve it. I'll run some of the resets and calibrations tomorrow and report back.
