Car: 2010 Altima Coupe 2.5s CVT - red alert color

Post

Hey everyone, first time posting here, I just got a 2.5 with the CVT on Saturday. So far I'm loving driving this car even with the 4 cylinder, haha. My question is how much help suspension upgrades (like the strut tower bar, sway bar, and endlinks) would be if I don't lower the car? I have had one lowered car and after getting stuck on snowy roads twice I'm a little worried about doing it again. thanks in advance

the upgrades you listed will help substantially even if you're not lowered. i've got all 3 mentioned and i'm still on stock springs but the difference in handling is huge.

That's good to hear, now to save up for them, haha. First project may end up being adding a sub though. Can't decide if it's worth losing the trunk space. With having the 4-cylinder version, how noticeable will any of the bolt on performance upgrades be? What are peoples opinions on whether they are worth the money? Thanks

You'll get a nice gain with those. Nothing over the top but it is super noticeable.

For the biggest gains you'll have to go force induction if you have the cash, however, if you had the cash you would have gone with the 3.5 so it's probably not an option as of right now (it wasn't for me when I first bought my car).

Even with stock intake and exhaust, the power pup is probably the easiest of all the above. Premium tune, 91+ octane gas and advance timing +2. Done. From personal experience the BullyDog Power Pup worked great. When I was going turbo I ended up selling it to ESP. I believe he was happy with it, didn't hear any complaints.

As for lowering, yeah, I got stuck in the snow this past winter. It was a piss off. I am seriously thinking about putting the OEM springs back on for this winter just for that very reason. Again, you can always switch them out, however if you are lowered, Greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust, you may scrape the exhaust now and then if your roads aren't that great... it sucks.. haha.
