Hi everybody,

I just bought a 2000' GLE Maxima which has ~120k km on it.

Unfortunatelly (or hopefully! =) ), the car comes with stock rims w/ winter tires on it.

I am looking to put aftermarket wheel on it and I was wondering what tire size would be good for 18" ?

here's the wheels I am looking for :

Wheel Style - Rota TorqueWheel Diameter (Inches) - 18"Wheel Width (Inches) - 8"PCD Bolt Pattern - 5x114.3Offset - 48mmHub Bore - 67.1mmColor - Hyper Black

Tire size on it : 225-40-18Brand : Yokohama H4S

Does it make sense?

Thanks for any advice,

cheers!

245-45-18 is right about perfect for that size wheel. It's a very common size, too, so there are tons of options.

According to the Tire size calculator(http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html ),

If I put 245-45-18 on it, i will have 5.4% error on my speedometer (when your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually travelling at 63.2mph)

On the other hand, 225-40-18, i will have 0.9% error on my speedo ((when your speedo reads 60mph, you are actually travelling at 59.5)

The max error available is 3%.

I'd like to have some explanations!

thanks
