I have a s13 vert. I just did a 5 speed swap. Installed new clutch kit. New master OEM Master cylinder. New OEM slave. I have great Pressure at pedal. after about 10 minutes of driving. The clutch starts to slip. Bad. I cant even climb the hill by my house. Like it starts slipping at 2 grand. Help?

How did you route the lines from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder ?

If it's too close to the exhaust the fluid will boil and expand, causing the clutch to partly disengage, ruining the clutch.

no i didnt, i took everything straight off my 93 5speed and moved it over. I ran the hard line from the master cylinder to the damper, then to the slave.

Oil on the clutch disc, pressure plate, or flywheel from your dirty hands can do this. Too much grease on the pilot bearing. Or not enough freeplay in the clutch, check the FSM, and see what it says the freeplay should be. I circle track race my 240, I had to wrap the stock hydraulic lines with insulation to cure a problem similiar to yours, but i'm probably dealing with more heat.

yea, like they said, check you pedal free play....also what kind of clutch set did you get?

if you got a new fly wheel, did you clean it with brake cleaner first?

when its new, it comes with a coating that needs to be cleaned off or it will slip....its just like putting grease on the surface of the flywheel....

sounds like grease on the wheel, or a poorly adjusted clutch pedal. check the adjustment first, the pedal should have about a quarter inch of "slack" before it encounters resistance, to ensure that the pressure plate is not being pushed.

A break in period would not cause this.

What kind of clutch did you put in it? I had a POS autozone clutch that crapped the bed about a month after I put it in. Now I have a Sachs and its been holding pretty good.
