like the title says, i just bought myself a brand new 07 350z. and i noticed that the oil pressure gauge fluctuates quite noticeably. when i excellerate hard the needle flys up to near 120, when i easy up, it falls back down to less than mid way.

question: Is that normal for the car? or is there something possibly wrong?

thank you for your consideration.

I have the same car with the same issue. I suspect it's normal. I'm at 3000 miles, so I think it will drop as I get more miles.

totally normal ... "Oil pressure" the higher the rev, the higher the oil pressure, you're biggest concern should be if your drving and it just drops to no pressure

i have an urgent question, my oil pressure gauge reads past 120 psi all the time, i got scared and called the guy who i baught the car from and he said not to worry cause the oil pressure sensor that he put on wasnt from a 350z thats y its reading that. so could that be an issue?...just a wrong oil pressure sensor? like as soon as i turn the ignition the gauge just goes to 120psi...even wen the car isnt running, so obviously its reading it wrong. any suggestions please?

Replace it with the proper sensor.

Did you not notice this before you purchased the car?
