Hi all, I've been on the car search since my alty died last month... Anyway, found a nice 200sx B14, its going to serve as my winter beater this year.

It has the SR20DE, lot's of pull. Now I'm going to look at getting a turbo kit on ebay for $500. I think it will be a fun project. However, since I picked it up last friday, I have lost my CD player, bought a new one, installed it. Exhaust broke, had to be fixed... (rusty pos, had me using the hacksaw last night until 10pm.)

It's clean inside, came with a ractive intake/shortshifter, a ghetto muffler, and also a nice fancy paint job with blue flakes. Aside from sounding louder than some civics - it's a really fun car to drive. I drove a 1.6, not to be desired, this has much more power, tight ratios, and very lightweight. I need some rims... looking for rims, oh, and it's prewired for subs, I have a fusion amp/sub cannon to dump in the trunk... just been too busy with the deck/exhaust/intake problems to find any time. hopefully get some non phone pics up soon!

It wasn't supposed to a 200sx as in "two hundred s x", from japanese to english it was supposed to be "to hunt for some sex". Because the car was a College kids party machine.

yeah, 500 for the kit, plus you need to get the manifold, and probably a few odds and ends, tune etc.

I dunno, I'll see if it lasts the winter - then I may boost it, gut it, and take it to the track next year.

I'm not denying the truth about the car, it is indeed a sentra with two doors, I don't know why Nissan didn't just make a few more 240sx /sylvias... I like 240sx s, but I just wanted something to beat around with this winter - FWD FTW in the brutal Canadian winters

Shocked you haven't had anything yet. We had a couple inches in our mountains last weekend.

Bahahaha

I knew you'll chime in.

It seems like I am the only one who loves winter in Canada. EH

No extrasize can compare than shoveling an extra wide driveway. Than sit in the car what's already nice and warm with heated seat on and go for a spirited drive in the deep snow with a possible destination being a ski resort or just an empty parking lot to do figure 8's with VDC off.

Oh yeah Sean it is comming.

woooohooooooo This is my season. Oh yeah baby.

LOL

Did you get your snow rubbers on? You should get it soon. Or maybe You should get a winter beater too lie Grant or Suby. You would look good in the old hatcback Honda civic.

I know it is shocking. We had couple of flakes but nothing major they have melted as they landed in our proud Canadian land. I kept my hopes up tho.

That's ok I can wait.

Hope we don't lose you to the 200sx Sunny threads. Never

I don't know how well this car will fair in the winter, it barely feels safe on solid pavement...

I read the sr20de is illegal for emmission in some states? Has anyone ever heard of this? I promise you all that I'm going to have to put up a vid soon... at least before I get the exhaust fixed, it's got a pre-cat break, and it's loud as hell. I get WAY more attention in this car than my G has ever yeilded.. not for good reason tho

Zozo, the G35Xs may all understand where you're coming from, but I'm yet to experience the 4WD sensation first hand...

Skip the turbo setup and buy a SR20DET from tigerjapanese.com for less than $800. You need any help with the install and tuning, just hit me up.

Thanks man... I appreciate the offer...

I just might be trading on a red 99 Red 5 speed G20 with the SR20de. 220,000km. it's mint.

I'm looking at it today. The 200sx only has 157,000 km, so I'll definately have to test drive it first.

With regards to TigerJapanese.com, I've heard mixed results on their engines, it seems they may be hit and miss? Either way, I can't wait to get on the SR20DET, keep everyone posted... here's a pic!

OK, it's going to need a starter motor? soilenoid? who knows what else he's not telling me...

Also, it's going to need some suspension / linkage work to the front end... I don't feel comfortable giving him 1K plus my Nissan for the car if it dosn't start?

I'm going to be thinking about this, it's with a dealer right now, so he is interested in a trade, but who knows... I need something that's running, not sitting too long etc. keep ya'll posted
