Braking Problem...

I'm new to this.... So bear with me

on my 89 240sx coupe, My brakes are Hard to press and when I press them I barley slow down... I don't know what it is... All I know is That I'm Having trouble Stoping From High speeds...

that sounds like your vacuum booster is not performing its function. open the hood and look at the brake master cylinder. it should be sitting on a black metal circular thing. that is the booster. there should be a fat vacuum hose going into it. check that there is vacuum there with engine running.

I think it works there It is sucking air from the black tube...

Could It still be something wrong with it?

could be a leaky booster, use a vaccum hand pump to apply vac. and see if it holds or if it drops.

the black tube you say is sucking, is it attached to the booster inlet?

Yeah it is....I think the power booster is broken then...I checked for leaks there were none...
