Hey guys I got a question about the brakes, so when I hit a patch of ice which has happened twice while braking, I get feedback kinda like a grinding, is this the ABS kicking in? I thought ABS only kicked in when you slam the brakes so they "pump" to prevent lock up.....I'm guessing the same thing happens on ice? Does the car detect slipping and automatically pump the brakes to prevent lock up?......I might have answered my own question lol but I just wanna make sure nothing wrong with my car, I've been through too much already!

Thanks folks and hope you enjoyed Christmas!

I've experienced the same thing, ABS kicks in much faster than I expect and have had it kick in even on small patches of ice.

I'm also getting better tires than the Continentals it came with when I get back to the Michigan snow next week.

I slipped like crazy pulling into my parking space at work today. The abs is so touchy on ice. If there was a car in front of me i would have hit it.
