Ok, guys, I have an 06' M35, I am experiencing a growl sound that seems to come from the rear of the car, and only happens in the last milliseconds of bringing the car to a stop. I have no vibration or pulling from side to side, I have checked all four wheels and brake pads have plenty of thickness, calipers are free and slide easily on their guide pins. I can coast to a stop gently with my foot on the brake and hear and feel nothing at all, until the very moment the car actually stops, then I hear a quick low groan or growl out of the back end. Started doing this about 2 weeks ago. I have about 82000 miles on the car. Again, I feel no performance change in any area, I just have this sound..any ideas?

I bought the car used, assuming it has factory disks on it, I replaced the brake pads about 15000 miles ago, I bought lifetime pads from O'reilly, I can't remember the brand name now. I may have to take it in, stops fine, just has noise, want to make sure it is still safe...

Kermit was on it....pads were still new, rotors were a bit too thin to get turned, still straight and not grooved, but had enough of a mirror like glaze on the braking surface to give me the noise. I hit the brake pads with a little scotch bright, and got new rotors, seems to be all cleared up now....glad it wasnt something more serious...thanks guys...
