Well after roaming around various nissan sites i joined today here nico in hopes of some info. I searched about q45 brakes on s13's and came up with no results. Im considering them for my project car which will run a disco potato so I feel a brakes upgrade is a must.

Heard that Z32 brakes feel like an on/off switch and that the q45's are responsive and great bang for their buck. Is this true? Are there performance pads for q45 brakes? any benifits or problems running these brakes?

Many thanks everyone and hope to have lots of great experiences here at Nico

Z32's are definitely not an on/off switch. Kick whoever told you that in the vagina.

I highly recommend the q45 brakes though because you won't ever have to worry about wheel fitment. Sometimes I think about switching my z32's over to q45 brakes just so I could run some old school wheels...I love that look and 17's are expensive (wheels + tires).

Go to the wheels/tires/brakes section...tons of info there.

my .02:

the Z brakes will feel fine as long as you do a master cylinder upgrade with them. I have a set of Z brakes on my car, and with the stock S13 master, they're hard to modulate when I'm thresh hold braking. With the Z cylinder, the on/off switch has gone away.

yes most certainly. you will find pads to advertised OEM spec, harder and softer compounds, semi-metallic, ceramic, etc
