I have a 2 part question please try your best to answer both...thank you

1 ) Has anyone checked to see if you can use a set of pads from another year or car that has more pad material to make contact with the rotor?

2) I have used a few different pads over the time but what do you recoment for pad brands that are superior to stock...EBC, Hawk etc.

There's not a lot of aftermarket brake pads out there yet but it has been about a year since the coupe came out so I'm sure there will be some sort of brakes and components available soon. There was a sedan guy that put on the Infiniti BBK and the last I heard his buddy was going to try to put it on the coupe. Haven't heard anything since then.
