^ Do you have enough fluid in the system? Are you leaking anywhere? Bad MC? Idk, just throwing some ideas out there.

Look for rust or paint damage on your brake booster under the MC. That's always a good indication. I'd say bad MC as well. Anybody know symptoms of a bad booster?

i think, if you press on the brake pedal firmly it will stop at a certain point then it will slowly go down even further then that means your Master Cylinder is on its way out

if your booster was going out the pedal should get stiff and you would have a vacum leak.

if you have bled every corner starting with the right rear (farthest from mc) and gotten all the air out of the lines i would think so. did you lose pedal feel before you changed the brakes?

If you lost your clutch pedal the go straight to your slave cylinder bleed it or replace it since its only 15 for a new one or it could be the clutch master cylinder but hope not

hey im_looking_for_a_240sx update your sig dont you now have meshies i think i saw them on KCDA

First check the level in the master cylinder for the clutch if its empty fill it up and go to the slave cylinder. its on the transmission held by two bolts, bleed it and see if it gets better. if its all wet its probably bad because all the fluid leaked allover itself so replace the slave and bleed it you should be set. as for the brakes idk what to tell you i havent read all the posts thoroughly sorry il read them then tell you sumptin K

Here's what you need to do:

1. Re-bleed the brakes starting with the caliper furthest away (passenger side rear)

2. If that doesn't fix it, make sure you have no leaks

3. No leaks, THEN spend the money and buy the new MC. If that doesn't fix it (unlikely) then report back...

4. Turn attention to the clutch. Make sure there are no leaks in the system there. 240's have problems with leaky clutch lines...

5. Remove the slave (really easy. 2 bolts off the transmission). Have someone look at/feel the slave as you pump the clutch. No leaks, no movement from slave = new slave.

6. If that doesn't work, buy a new clutch MC.

hey man you say you lost your brakes before you changed them what were you doin? did you hit something? check for a cracked line that might be the problem- checkin for a cracked line i guess youd look allover the line and see if its wet anywhere the place thats wet theres your problem. you probably just nneed to bleed all the air out idk its hard to diagnose a problem shat load of miles away whatever it is hope you find your problem it sucks when my car breaks down on me (knocks on wood)

i checked all the lines. no leaks and i didnt hit anything, the story goes is my brakes were making a really ****ty noise for about 2 weeks. kinda like a airplane landing lol i know it sounds stupid. but anyways as i approached a stop sign not too long ago the noise came as usual and then SNAP, no brakes. today i bled all lines besides the rear left (drivers side) the bolt actually snapped while i was trying to unscrew it. so i left that one, its still in there though lol. so i bled them all, still no luck, checked for any leaks or anything, nope. so im lost.

so you ran your pads till there was nuttin left? if so then it probably is you master cylinder that went out because it was pushing fluid beyond its safe limit and it damaged the piston or seal inside, another possibility could be that the bleeder screw you broke off its still open so its taking in air and not lettin the brake system evacuate itself of all the air

fyi i know most of you know this but your breaks and your clutch are two different systems. so you have two different problems.

meaning one system doesn't affect the other.
