You'd need to remove the actuator from the system and use the lines for a non-abs system. The lines aren't too bad and would be a good idea to get new lines since brake fluids like to absorb water aka rust in the lines if you go to a junkyard. Next would be the brake master cylinder. Then the final piece is optional. This requires the replacement of the hubs that your wheels are attached to. If you look on the back of them, there are teeth that tell your ABS how to respond to that particular wheel. Those can be switched to non-teethed non-abs hubs and the sensors can be removed.

I'm not trying to be a ****, but if you don't know what you are doing, why are you trying to swap an SR yourself?

You've gotta learn somehow. I've got more respect for him learning from scratch than paying some garage to do it. Don't just go randomly cutting wires though. :)

yea, I see that. but personally, If I spent 2-3k on an SR, i would want it to make sure it was done right. If I was just swapping in another KA, that'd be another story. Don't take offense phalanx, I hope you get everything worked out and running. then you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you did it yourself :)

when i say noob i mean i have never swaped an sr before i am a mechanic for the air national gaurd so dont worry about me cutting random wires, thanx for the info on the brakes... it is a lot cheaper to do it yourself then to pay someone to screw around with your car for about a month only to have it not work right

trust me do it yourself

thanx again guys
