I had to replace my master cylinder on my 1990 240sx. I wasnt able to bench bleed it and now I have it installed along with my re-sealed and re-booted calipers. I can get a pretty good pedal with the motor off but when I start it up the pedal goes to the floor and I get brake when its almost to the floor. Wat can I do to fix this.

Bleed the lines? You should start from driver's side back. That's the longest line. One more thing. Bleeding valve should be on top since air moves to the top. I've seen some people installed calipers upside down.

Rebleed your master. If you don't get the air out of it, you'll never get all the air out of the lines.

Break the lines loose at the MC one at a time and just pump and hold until you get a solid stream of fluid. You don't have to loosen the flare nut all the way out, just a half turn. Enough that fluid will seep by the seats

Oh! Didn't know about this. I guess you can put a little cup or rag under the MC and can do this.

I've never had to bleed the Master cylinder on my car and I didn't know you could do that!! But after bleeding the MC, i think you should still go back and bleed the lines so you get any air out that might be between the MC and the calipers.

It would make sense to bleed the MC the same as the caliper. pump, hold the pedal , loosen the bolt (AND re-tighten before letting go of the pedal!!) If you let go of the pedal before tightening the bolt, air will get in.
