not that i have the cash on me right now, but what breaks do u guys think would be the best for an s14? in terms of affordability, reliablity...awesomeability? my buddy has a z (the one in my sig) and he was pushin me towards the z32 break swap. but i had been thinking brembo, since they r a dependable company name that i know, and my other friend had an evo viii with brembos and i liked the feel of um when he let me drive it. but my friend with the z told me that brembos ate rotors real bad, the evo was too new so i dunno if this is true or not. dunno much about wilwood or ne other companies. jw

Whats your budget? What do you use the car for (street, track use)?

If you only street the car then theres no need to even upgrade the calipers. Just get some Hawk HPS pads, some stainless lines, and some new brake fluid and you will be good on the street. I run this setup and cant realistically fade 'em on the street.

If you need something more than that, you can upgrade to Z32 calipers. This is also a pretty tried and true setup and can be done for around $500 for all corners. The only problem is converting the e-brake to work with the Z32 drum.

If you seriously track the car (hardcore time attack, road racing) or just want a big-brake upgrade for looks, Id look into Stoptech, Rotora, or SPL sells some kits to use Z33 rotors with Z32 calipers.

q45 brakes are a decent upgrade and matched with a set of stainless steel brake lines and a good set of pads, and you'll love it. its cheap and effective..

z32 are great too, but many people jump into it without using the z BMC and wonder why the bias is all screwed up... and in most cases, z32's are overkill for daily... don't get me wrong tho, they're wonderful brakes. anything bigger than z32s on a 240 is merely for bling bling looks imo.

id put my money into wheels and tires first...the aero youve got looks funny with stock wheels, and better tires are your first step to better braking

hhehehehe...

If he's still on stock suspension, I sure hope he doesn't get out and use those brakes too hard... After all, the nose dive alone under heavy braking would kill that front bumper in a heartbeat.

I kinda doubt that though considering the A) lack of wheel gap, and B) after market fenders.
