ok heres my problem...when i fully open the car up, then hit the brakes its like they arent working...the pedal is really hard and doesnt really seem to slow me down at all...i searched and found nothing, any suggestions?im also 4 hrs away from my mechanic friends since i moved up here for school! so i dont really want to drive in with the brakes acting up like that...

have your friend come up

bleed the brakes if that doesnt help

check the calipers and make sure they are not finished

Air in brakes = squishy pedal, not hard pedal. It sounds to me like a problem with the brake booster. Turn the car off and pump the brakes until they become hard, is that what the pedal feels like when it gets hard while speeding? If so, check your brake booster for proper operation, and check that the vacuum supply to the brake booster is in good condition and set up properly.

yup it feels like when u pump the brakes when the car is off...like super hard and no give to the pedal at all
