Do I just need a simple adjustment? Will my warranty cover this?
Basically ANYTHING on a 3-week old car should be covered. Violent shaking during braking could mean you have loose brake parts, or a warped rotor. You don't want to screw around with your brakes possibly not working, get it in ASAP and make them fix it.

If there are ANY grooves in the road, the Versa will track them easily because of the car's track width and relatively light weight.
You could have an alignment issue, though... and this should be covered under the 12 month/12,000 mile "unlimited adjustment" warranty.
Note that ALL FWD cars (except Subarus) will track a little bit to one side, usually the left. This is normal, and due to torque steer. Torque steer occurs because one driveshaft is shorter than the other (and why Subarus are an exception, because they have equal-length shafts)
