the vehicle isnt a nissan. i dont know if thats a problem? im a nissan fan but own a 99s10 pickup for utility reasons. i like to tell myself one day ill be able to afford a 2nd car to play with, but for now i just surf car sites and forums.

anyway, im having an issue with the brakes. they seem to be keeping pressure on the back rotors after i take my foot off the peddle. i first noticed a problem when i heard a slight squeak coming from the vehicle when taking turns. it then progressed all the way to grinding noise clearly coming from the back wheels.

i replaced the pads on both back wheels yesterday and the olds ones were worn really bad. the thing is, the old pads werent that old. i had put them on the truck when i first got it maybe 2.5yrs ago.

also the first time i put pads on the truck and this 2nd time it starts to smell like something burning after i drive it for a bit. which would seem like the brakes are always staying somewhat pressed like i said even when my foots off the brake.

any input on whats causing this or what i should do to fix it? thanx.

The slider pins on the brake calipers are probably seized up. They need to be lubricated after every brake pad change.
