BRAKES LOCKED UP!!!

so i was driving today from work and i notice that my car was feeling like it was sluggish like i had a trunk full of bricks...anyways i stopped at a hill and notice when i let off the clutch the car didnt move! my right back brake locked up. why and what should i do? its dark right now and the car is sitting at a friends house and what should i expect when i pull the wheel off?

sounds like you need a rebuild. either that or go to the junk yard and get some replacement calipers. Not a difficult job at all just takes time and $.

how about the advance auto calipers?

Any revuilt caliper system should be fine. Just make SURE to turn the piston back in like a screw and don't just press it back like most less-than-intellegent people do...which usually leads to the exact situation you are in.

Have fun!

Also, you should isnpect the rest of your brake calipers for any signs of problems, like worn out boots, leaks, etc just to make sure you don't have other issues.
