Greetings all;

Well, took the J in for an oil change and my Hyundai dealer treats me good. Castrol GTX, tires balanced (finally- 3 shops failed at the balancing act) and rotated and a 34 point inspection. Well, at 64k miles, the front pads need to be changed and I know the rotors are warped anyway. So, I read som posts that mentioned staying away from Ebay and aftermarket...Does anyone have experience with Napa? I have always preferred them over the Zone and now Murray's. Times are tight right now....and am looking at Napa's premium rotors and pads.

NB 4886253 Rotor - Front - Premium 2 $39.99 - $79.98

UP7467X Brake Pads - Front, Ceramic Ultra Premium - $57.49

TIA!!!

for their aftermarket rotors, they're very good, should be only slightly more then NAPA.

The Napa ultra premium brake pads are fine.

Remember the J is a very heavy car. Rotors warp very quickly especially where you're located (Arizona heat). You want to get the right rotors, otherwise you'll be replacing them frequently which will be more $$$ in the long run.

Have installed Napa rotors and pads on two of our cars, one of which is considered heavy and under equipped as far as brakes go (front discs/rear drums), and am happy with them. There are multiple rotor grades that appear mainly to be a function new rotor finish, which affects how long it takes for new rotors to break-in and be quiet.

Using a torque wrench to uniformly tighten lug nuts to the correct spec can help prevent warping. Just don't use your torque wrench to loosen them.

Ok, I see a gazillion rotors on Ebay. Powesrtop fronts are $92/each. Anyone use Wagner brand? I know the zone, O'reilly's an those guys are going to sell me the chinese version...

Looking at these:

Which I think is a good deal, especially if he'll take a buy it now of $150...

P.S. I think tire shops are the culprits in a lot of warped rotors. I replaced them on the wife's Taurus and as soon as I had the tires balanced, they were warped!

TIA all!!!

R1 concepts has a number of complaints on the web with respect to their rotors rusting out quickly and poor customer service
