I was wondering which brake kit i should buy for a 1993 240sx. I know brembo is a huge name in brakes but i don't need the best brakes out I want the brakes to perform very well but also not put a huge dent in my pocket. Also, should the brakes be on the front or rear wheels? Basically i have no clue about brakes and wheels and i need help.

Not sure why you need better than stock brakes, but you could get 300zx brakes for the front, don't worry that much about the rears.

Doing a quick search will show up all you need for the brakes swap cause i'm not really sure, The difference betwen the front and back is that the fronts are way more important.. I think they do like 70% of the braking. So it isn't that necessary to swap the rears. plus it's a pita to do so from what I have read.

Most would just replace with oem or like pads/rotors.

If you have limited experience with brakes find someone to help you that has done it before.

Well i would be setting up the brakes myself but i will have a mechanic look over what im doing. Im in the process of a project car and this is how i am going to learn about the car especially the mechanics of the car because all i know rite now is how to fix the body if it gets into an accident. i just need some help on which products to buy. If you guys also know a good suspension set up that would be helpful too.

You could also consider infiniti q45 front calipers and rotors, they use stock brake lines and are two piston sliding type to keep nearly the same wheel clearance unlike z32 calipers. Q45 adds two more pistons on your stock master cylinder as opposed to z32 adding six. The more fluid to move the more pedal travel you get, unless you also swap in a z32 master cylinder.

Q45 fronts are basically what you get with the NISMO big brake upgrade.
