When I brake in my 240 as I'm coming to a stop, the breaking feels very off. It's hard to explain, it almost feels as if the brakes are pulling hard. It makes a sound which doesn't sound right to me. As bland as this post may be I'm clueless as to what the problem could be. I replaced the front pads a while ago, could I need to replace the rears? Brake fluid res. is filled to the proper level, so no luck there. Could there be a leak in my brake lines somewhere?

****, I'm lost, anyone know wtf could be wrong here?

The sound is like... when I'm coming to a stop it almosts sounds like a faded toilet flushing or something, and sometimes pulls on the steering (I dunno if it was the road or not)

Could my rear pads be going out? Because I changed the fronts out not too long ago.

Try bleeding your brakes - search for that on this forum, or any forum for that matter, process is similar.

Anyway, if your rear pads are going out, you should hear a squeaky sound when coming to a stop. Another way to check is to take off your rear wheels and see how much life there is left compared to the front pads.

If you are getting pulled to one side when braking, and not when normally driving (i.e. pulls to left/right when braking, but goes straight when driving), then your rotors may have become warped and need to be resurfaced.

If it is just "soggy feeling" then maybe there is air in your brake system like 4felix20 said. I'm assuming basically everything on your car is stock?

My car doesn't brake as well as it used to, but that's because i have a lot more unsprung weight and dying pads in the front.

From what I've read through various searches I'm almost positive my rotors are warped.

Of course I can't be entirely sure because I am by no means a professional I'm just putting pieces of a puzzle together. It does pull when I'm breaking, but not when I'm driving. The sounds it makes surely resemble sounds described by others when I read about warped rotors.

If your rotors are warped, you'll feel a pulsation through the brake pedal. If you've got weak brakes, it's possible it's the fluid. Brake fluid soaks up water from the air. When water's in the brake fluid, it lowers the boiling temperature of the brake fluid to the "wet" boiling temperature and can make your brake pedal feel like crap. Change the fluid.

Bah, I found the problem, and BOY DO I FEEL LIKE A RETARD

Rear-inner pads were bare metal, scraping against the inner-side of the rotor. Quite a funny sight... until the stupidity hits... damn. Took me about two hours to do one side, the other side should take half an hour now that I know what to do.
