Hi guys.
I was wondering what is all involved in swapping a 280mm front brakes in a 90 n/a to a 300mm available in a later model?

Would I just have to swap out the brake calipers and rotors ?

Pretty sure that's all that's entailed. Why not upgrade? Just curious.

Those 2 pieces are a definite, but I'm wondering what else I'd have to change. Stuff like hubs.arms and suspension components. Haven't found anything that's definitive.
For me, that is a little bit of an upgrade, until I start taking her to the track. That probably won't be for another few years at the rate I'm going. :rotfl :rotfl

I agree with Ace...you should be fine with just calipers and rotors. everything else is the same I believe

I know the hub and all suspension components are the same. only thing I'm not 100% on is brake lines. I'm 95% sure there though.

Holy Gigantic Brakes Batman! LOL, it's actually 28mm and 30mm and refers to the width of the rotor. You can easily swap them out. I would also move to Stainless steel brake lines at the same time. The only rub on this conversion is cost. The 30mm calipers are a nice upgrade for the 240 guys and tend to be pricey to buy. Expect to spend around $300 for the used calipers alone.

Another thought would be to go to Autozone and order the reman'd replacement rotors for a 91 NA, then simply return yours as cores. I know it's not very moral, but it would work. Don't forget you will also need new rotors when you make the conversion...

Lol! Thanks a lot guys!
I know it's not much of an upgrade, but it'll do for a while.
I already have the SS lines on order and hopefully in a few weeks I'll come across a set of calipers at a reasonable price.
The car has been a lot of fun, both working on it and driving it around. She aint pretty, but she's fun. :rotfl

One thing I forgot to mention as well, you will need the brackets for the calipers for the 30mm's as well.
