what brakes can you upgrade the stocks from w/o going to 5 lug? More stopping power is nice and I would rather not have to put out for a 5 lug conversion if I dont have to...

speaking of which...how much does a conversion cost? Maybe it is worth it...but would prefer not to if I can find 4 lug wheels and a good set of brakes w/o doing it.

I have Q45 front brakes on my car (1991 240SX) that cost me $70 out of a junk yard and Powerslot Slotted Front Rotors for about $180. The best thing about these are that they fit in the 15" stock wheels and are very cheap. They also use the stock brake lines and offer a good balance if you keep the stock rear brakes. Here is a link to my write up after I did my 5 lug swap. I also just got thru installing a 300ZX Master Cylinder and stainless steel brake lines this weekend so I am Officialy done with the braking side of my car. DO NOT! get the VGX semi metallic brake pads, there are peices of s***. They heat up way to fast and fade after a few hard braking stints. Here is the link.

actually the big red and the big black are made by brembo and am pretty sure is the same caliper used in the f40 or f50 ferrari.
