Hey guys, its about that time to replace my pads and I've been noticing a little vibration on braking, so I think I ought to replace the rotors as well. I'd like to keep my OEM size rotors and calipers and I don't want to make the big brake conversion. I've looked around at a few places (Cattman, Stillen) and all they have are the big brake conversions. Then I looked around at some brake places and found OEM size rotors going for about $88 a piece. Then I took a look at trusty ol' ebay and found a set of Suzuka rotors and semi-metallic pads for $140. Are they poorly manufactured? Is that why they are so cheap? What do you guys recommend? I think I'd like to have cross-drilled rotors, but not vented. Also, semi-metallic pads were recommended to me, but what's your opinion on pads?

For me rotors are rotors. Not going to be much of a difference IMO from my experience with the different rotors i had. I currently have some that are slotted. I like em. Now on brake pads. I'd suggest Hawk HPS pads. I'll have to look up the name of the rotors i have. I am being forgetfull right now cause i've only gotten an hour of sleep last night. I'll reply back with the brand.

the powerslot/hawk combo is a great choice. a buddy of mine just recently went with brembo drilled rotors and hawks and he likes that setup. might i also add that upgrading the brake hoses to russell steel braided brake lines makes a tremendous difference in stopping power. don't be cheap when looking for replacement products. just get what works best for you and find the best deal you can on them.

The cheapest made-in-China rotors generally are junk, but if you're not track racing the car then don't worry about it. Most major enthusiast sites have at least one vendor running a constant group deal for Brembo blanks, pick up a set of those cheap.
