Over a period of just a few days, I noticed my brakes got closer and closer to the floor to the point where it's no longer safe to drive the car. Whenever the car's running and I press on the brake peddle, there's a loud clicking noise coming from the dashboard. If I repetedly press the brake peddle they temporarily tighten up, then go to the floor again.

The brake fluid is full.

I've also noticed over the past few days that engine starts are turning over slower than usual.

Does anyone know what can cause this?

I have a new battery.

I was thinking perhaps the alternator was going bad and that the brake master cylindar wasn't getting power, so I tested the battery terminals with a multimeter. It's reading at about 14.75 volts while the egine is running and about 13.7 volts while the engine is turned off. This seems normal to me. Do the Q-hickles use standard 12 volt batteries?

Could it be the master cylindar just crapped out?

Please disregard. The brake fluid is completely out. I'll diagnose the leak.
