Apparently, at 23k miles, my rears are done, and fronts need resurfacing. It certainly is not norm for me, and dont want to keep on doing this if I just replace it with OEM.

Updates on the threads on upgraded brakes talked about marked performance, but the experience were still under 20k miles. I'm looking for improved performance for sure, but longevity is key as well. Anyone have experiences on the upgrades beyond that?

i personally been using stocks and use the Akebono ProAct brake pads, they have a better performance brake pads but for some reason I can only find the rears and not fronts.

IMO i like the brake pads by Akebono, i needed a new set an went with StopTech ( DO NOT GET THEM), they only lasted me about 9k, where i had my Akebonos for my old M35, before it got totaled and those lasted a good 12k with no issues before the wreck.

I just order a new set of Akebono of of FCPimports front/rear for around 95 bucks with free shipping. I recommend them alot (FCPImports)! they saved me a ton of money on brake pads.

Everyone else that had Akebono pads were like 65-90 for fronts and 55-75 for rear

I'll check into that. It will be on the short list of options.

Turning rotors, without handing handing it to them cost more than new rotors, apparently....ridic..

if you remove the rotors yourself, you can take it to either pep boys or o reilly to have them turn for 10 bucks each maybe? give or take

Yep, but if I'm already in there, I'm going to do the whole thing myself.

As a result, I'm waiting till its rotate and alignment time. I'll rotate the tires, turn the front rotors which has 60% left and keep the set up till time to replace all four, when the rears (currently at 30%) go. I still might consider buying new rotors for the fronts, depending on what they have in stock, less price, so why not. Use it as a trial run.
