General known upgrades are usually labeled as 180sx, q45/j30, and z32 upgrades. There is TONS of information out there on these upgrades, brake upgrades in general and even wikibooks info if you google search

however nissan re-uses parts all over the place. I dont beleive I've seen a collection of sources based on part numbers. If you go by part numbers alone, looking up the part number and listing their applications, these parts appear on more cars listed below.

The companies such as cardone that remanufacture brake parts list what application the parts fit. as far as i'm concerned they should be interchangeable.

"180sx" upgrade with USDM partsRotors:280mm (11.015in)x22mmhave a shorter disc by about 2mm.4lug99-02 G2093-01 Altima93-97 altima gle gxe se xe00-04 sentra03 sentra limited edition02-06 sentra SE-R

Mounting Bracket:directly bolts up to stock.larger bracket to mount caliper, mounts further away from center of hub, a couple mm taller than stock mounting bracketThose listed above for rotors plus:96-99 I30

Caliper:Information on the web shoes that if you use altima 11in rotor and maxima caliper the pads hang of the edge a bit. I'd say try to match parts.96-99 I3093-01 altima89-99 maxima05-06 sentra 2.5 SE-R04 Sentra 2.5 SE-r Spec V02-03 Sentra 2.500-01 sentra 2.0

Pads, try to get pads for the calipers you get, but some performance pad manufacturers only list the most likely uses, but will probably work in the other calipers from other models.

Next step up would be known as the "Q45" upgradeof note, i'm not sure people are aware of the other vehicles these parts can be sourced from. I've got less experience playing with these, but i know for sure the calipers dont fit right in the mounting brackets listed above.5lug rotors:11.409inx28mmnot positive on the disc height03-04 M4502-06 Q4504-09 Quest05-09 Quest S SE SL

4 lug rotors:you dont HAVE to re-drill them to 4 lug.the wiki book i read said the altima rotors are teh same daimeter, but from what i've seen in part listings, not exactly (11.015in vs 11.409) but it might not affect the pads. You also have to watch out for the thickness of the rotor, as to thin can lead to mushy brake pedal, or even brake failure.you could always Try buying a cheap altima rotor from a local place and compare sizes and return.

calipers:you may be surprised what other vehicles are listed under applications for this part number!08 G35 w/o sport suspension07 G35 VQ35DE07 G35 VQ35HR w/o sport suspension06 G3505 G35 RWD06-08 M3506-08 M4502-06 Q4508 EX3506-08 350z, enthusiast, gt, touring06 350z track07-08 350znismo06-08 350z with single piston caliper

Couldnt find application list on mounting bracket, they may or may not be the same on the other end of the bracket?

pads, different manufacturer's have different application listssome have similiar pad application list as that listed above, others just list the J30, M45 and Q45.

On that note, I'm in the middle of piecing together a "180sx with USDM parts" fraken-brake upgrade.i've tried an altima rotor, maxima mounting bracket, q45 calipers and sentra rotors and etc. are on their way. I'll post more when i get the finish product ready, hopefully next week.

If you've got the courage to try a franken-brake upgrade with just bolt on USDM parts, good luck. Do your research online, but purchase cheap stuff locally for easy returns to test things before you either splurge on good stuff or shop for used stuff. I did my research at wikibooks, Cardone.com, rockauto.com and even manually comparing part numbers at NOPI (brembo and Hawk stuff)

I hope i've tought myself this stuff correctly and I'm not just sharing FUD.
