myself and two friends installed these bad boys on my 97 today: http://www.arizonazcar.com/240sxbrakes.html

the 12.2" fronts.

edit: deleted other problem.

i did a search and am not sure if i can find the problem or not. the brakes work. i haven't taken it out on the road yet for this reason: i can build pedal pressure up before i turn the car on, but when i start the car i can put the pedal to the floor. is it the master cylinder? i'm guessing it is due to the fact that these brakes are just a wee bit bigger than stock.

advice would be much appreciated.

Didn't you IM me about that kit? If so, I recall specifically advising you (or whomever was checking into the kit) to not buy it, save the money and get the more reliable and proven Q45 or Z32 upgrade.

I'd call the company, ask for my money back and do exactly that.

As far as the grinding noise goes, i'd look at the inside of the wheel and the strut to see if it was rubbing while driving. It sounds like there's a fluid problem (bad caliper or line, etc) or air in the lines you can't get out...either way, its not going to be fun.

i originally ordered the q45 brakes, but they couldn't find them. so i went ahead and got that kit. it's made for the 240s, and the guy said it would fit with the stock se 16s.

i'm going to take the rims off and leave it on jackstands until i can get some new ones :[
