I installed new ceramic pads in the front last night, and flushed and bled the 15 year old fluid out. I put in Valvoline synthetic fluid. Now, the pedal feels dead, it has more stroke than it did before. One caliper drags a little, the right front. I took it off about 10 time and checked everything. It is not bad when the car is moving, does not even make a sound, but when the car is jacked up, and I hit the brakes and let off, it does not release. The pedal feel worries me, even though the new pads stop better, and the syn fluid does not fade. Also, after a stop from about 110 to 0, my rotors were red. I mean, pretty red all over, but not the center though. Why? Ceramic pads are supposed to run cooler, and my old plain pads and the last pair of ceramics never got the rotors hot. I bled the system according to Chilton's: LR-RR-RF-LF. I bled each caliper until 1 pint of new clear fluid came out. It took about 3 quarts. I do not have ABS, thank God.

Do not have model number with me, but I think it is MK422C. I think that they are Morse pads, but I could be wrong. I bought these at AutoZone.
