I found lately there were funny sound (like truned the knob of the door) came out when I press or release the brake pedal (2009 Versa with approx 20,000 km), so went to dealer to check up, waiting for over 1-1/2 hours without anybody touch my car… finally being told by the mechanic after 3 minutes test drive that it is normal with  :wtf2: Versa models, I am just wondering if it happen on your brake with that mileage?

Does it sound like a metal on metal squealing? Does it happen all the time, some of the time, etc.? Is it from the front or rear of the car?

yes, the sound came out every time when I stepped on the brake and from front of the the brake, it doesn't sound metal squeal but sounds like you're turning the knob of the door (like a switch button)

Most likely it is a build-up of brake dust between the pads and rotors causing the noise. You can remove the tires and spray the rotors with brake parts cleaner while rotating the rotor and it will clean it out. It may some road dust also. It happens to every car unfortunately. I just cleaned out my rear brakes because they were doing it also.

If you need help on how to clean it out, click here.
