alrite so i got some ss lines and pads/fluid heading my way. i would like to also take off my calipers and clean them up a bit. can i simply drain the brake system by opening up all the bleeders and pumping til the mc and lines are dry, or will this hurt the mc, and would i need to bench bleed the mc after this? i would like to empty the system cuz it seems like a much simpler route than plugging the hardlines and then gettin all messy when putting on the ss lines. thanks for any help you guys can give.

DO NOT PUMP UNTIL THE MC IS DRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you'll blow out the seals!

disconnect the caliper, remove the lines, drain it, cover the piston seals with something, lightly sand/degrese the caliper and paint it if needed..but dont let a MC go dry by any means!

just plug up the old stock lines before you swap them out to take the calipers off...
