Hey guys,

Just got back from a weekend at VIR with my N/A Z32! Car did great but my brakes did not! Had to replace half way through the weekend and than used up the replacements. I had been using decent AutoZone pads which excelled for street use but could not take the heat of the track. So I am now looking for some new brakes that are still usable on the street yet have a decent track ability. (Work in higher heat!). So I don't need race brakes!!! I have heard good things about Hawk HPS (High Performance Street). Any other suggestions? Thanks for the help, any suggestions appreciated!

Collin

Check out some StopTech Street Performance brake pads. They make some decent brake pads as well. I know they don't make a lot of noise and pretty sure they aren't too dusty but don't quote me on that dusty part. Max operating temp is 1300F. I know my next set of pads are going to be some StopTechs.

Agreed on StopTech pads by Centric. Look at their para-aramid pads, they withstand just about anything cold or hot and are supposedly better than ceramic. I have a set of front pads on my 90 NA and they are pretty solid, minor dusting.

Front: CENTRIC Part # 30906470

Rear: CENTRIC Part # 30904610

+1 StopTech. I run their rotors and pads. Not much dust, stop hard, and quiet.

Awesome, thanks guys! I will go check them out. In need of brakes NOW! They're still usable but I think I overheated them to the point that they have just failed... Plenty of pad left.
