Brake Setup "Poll" for FAQ

I'm on a roll. Trying to help out the mods so that the Index and FAQ are very robust and have lots of info for those who are interested in upgrading their Gs.

So please use this thread to post the type of aftermarket brakes you are using. This applies to pads, rotors, and calipers.

Please DO NOT use this thread for conversations, comments, or questions. If you want to do any of those, you can PM someone or just start a new thread.

Here's the format:

Brand: (Please list the brand and separate it by commas if the there are more than one brand.)

Type: Track X drilled and slotted rotors with Pillar Vane technology, OEM Brembo Calipers, SS Brake lines, race pads. (All on Front and Rear)

Brand: Brake Pros, Brembo, Stillen, HAWK Blue

Models: 2003 G35 Coupe

Pros: Well, not sure what my 60-0mph time is, but I'm sure it's better than stock. I can tell you that I no longer burn up the brakes and fly through the turns at the track, there's still some fade over time, but still much better than stock. I ran off the road more than once before I upgraded my rotors and pads and of course you've gotta have some tires that can handle some extra spirited driving as well

Cons: No cons really, they get the job done, and they've saved my butt from smashing into that little old lady or car full of dumb teenyboppers that pulls out unexpectedly a few times.

Bought at/Price: I got the pads/rotors/lines (front and rear) for just under a grand and I already had the stock Brembo calipers

Comments: Upgrading brakes is nice, but tires are a must. The lighter the rim the better as well. First step would be to upgrade your tires to something a little more sticky if you're having problems. If you're still having problems, then brakes might be the next step, especially if you're pimping some chrome rims and need the extra braking power to stop the heavy beasts

Type:OEM G35 coupe front brake rotors , after market pads

Brand: Project MU NS street pads

Models:2004 g35 sedan, 6 speed.

Pros: Identical or better than oem pads, less dusting by a huge margin and no premature wear problems.

Cons: NONE

Bought at/Price:$70 from mynismo.com

Comments: Would also recommend a brake fluid flush and stainless steel brake lines. The g35 coupe brakes (05-07), g35 sedan brakes (05-06)RWD & 06 AWD are bigger than the oem 03-04 sedan brakes. 12.6" rotor compared to 11.6" front with dual pistol caliper vs. single piston. Rear rotors are 12.1" vs. 11.5".

Pros: quicker brake grab with less pedal effort. Hopefully longer pad life and no hot spotting
