HelloQuick question. If I use an R33 GTS-T master cylinder, and the front calipers off the same car, will 300ZX rear calipers work? I drive a 1992 240SX.

Thanks.

2nd result looking for "r33 calipers" in Recent Content:zerothread?id=147258

Sometimes on other forums (a little more detailed info regarding pads/hardware & different sized rotors):http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=65671

yes it will but requires z32 conversion lines. the fittings are different. ebrake wont be functional unless you custom rig it. front brakes and rear brakes dont have anything to do with each other you can mix and match all you want.

Um, what about something called brake bias??? Don't think it makes a difference? Why don't you

All About Brake Bias & Big Brakes

Example: having wilwoods in the front & stock in the back w/ stock master cylinder (or almost any cylinder that doesn't allow you to dial in your own custom bias) is not fun... or safe for that matter.

For Juujai's case, he will be ok w/ 300zx rears since the fronts are essentially the same (minus the rotors) w/ a z32 master cylinder. He'll have ebrake in the rear w/ the 300zx or equivalent drum ebrake conversion.

what do you get when you add a little juujai and some brokeas240sx? The right answer. they covered the general of it. If you have any doubt in brake bias, put a proportioning valve on it. you can dial it in at the track...
