I want to change out the stock rotors for my '95 240sx SE and wanted to know what everyone uses. I really like the crossed drilled and slotted Brembos, but kinda expensive. I see complete sets(claiming Brembo CD & S Rotors) on E-bay for ~$200.00, but has anyone really used those without any problems(warping)? Let me know what you guys recommend and where to get it. Thanks!

If you mean cross drilled AND slotted Brembo doesn't make rotors that are both, to the best of my knowledge. It's an either/or. I may be sorely mistaken, but if they're both cross-drilled and slotted, they're probably Brembo blanks machined by another company who may, or may not know what they're doing.

For the record, I just run some OE-style Brembo rotors. Vented up front and sold in the back...just plain old rotors.

Ask AZHitman for pricing, he is a distributor.

I use cross drilled and slotted rotors on my 1990 240SX. I use the car on the street as a daily driver and the car makes 2 to 3 trips a year to racing tracks in the east such as Watkins Glen, Summit Point, and Pocono, all road courses. The story is that under extreme use cross drilled rotors have been known to crack starting at the holes. (I have another track only car and it has factory cross drilled rotors and I have no problems) For extreme use (serious track duty) slotted rotors expel gases well enough and are more durable. If your car is stock or going to be driven on the street or at the track on street tires I think drilled and slotted rotors are fine. I have had no problems whatsoever with warpage. With a change of the rotors, pads, going to braided steel lines and using high quality fluid such as ATE Super Blue your cars braking will be dramatically improved! Good luck.

Forgot, rotors are SP performance rotors and I use Hawk Street/Track HP Plus pads. As I mentioned the setup works great. It needs an adjustable proportioning valve to get a bit more rear brake bias but other than that it's great.

Can you get an adjustable proportioning valve for a s13/s14? I would be interested...

Just do a brake bias valve or proportioning valve search using google or whatever. You will find what you're looking for. They cost about $100 plus installation.

Just found a wilwood valve with knob adjustment for 40 bucks at Summit Racing Equipment.

P.S. If you add this simple little component be careful not to add too much rear bias as this produces a very unstable condition under hard braking and more than likely will cause you to spin at corner entry. Too much front bias is WAY better than too much rear.

Right, dial in more rears to make it loose. I'll go look for it. Thanks for taking a look.

I believe Brembo does make cross-drilled and slotted rotors as I purchased mine from Silviawerks that way (and they were delivered to them that way straight from Brembo). BTW, avoid dealing with Silviawerks if at all possible (do a search on them and read my horrible experince if you want more informatio). I also know that Heavy Throttle sells Brembo rotors that are cross-drilled and slotted straight from Brembo.

My two cents.

Not that I don't believe you about Brembo selling cross-drilled + slotted rotors, but I've never seen 'em on the Brembo website. Believe, I've started longingly at the Brembo website...ogling calipers.

My 2nd favorite Italian site to Ducati
