Hey guys,

How long should it take to replace front and rear rotors and pads, and replace brake lines with ss lines?

I did mine in about 2 hours, using 4 jack stands.

If you intend to clean and paint everything, and have to do one wheel at a time, it might take a little longer.

The speed bleeders make it a LOT FASTER!

I flushed my entire brake fluid system in about 15 minutes!

That's what I thought. I spoke with my Infinity dealer and they were trying to tell me 6.5 hours and $650 to do the change. Two hours each end, two hours for the SS lines and brake fluid flush, and 30 minutes to connect up my brake sensor lines so that my brake worn light doesn't stay on. I don't mind paying $25/hr more for their shop rate, but having them tell me that it takes double the time to do the job is rediculous! Every independant shop told me three hours (without the speed bleeders).

Besides, brakes are brakes, no reason to go to a dealer for something that's no different from a "pedestrian" vehicle.
