anybody have some killer brakes that they want to recommend to me? Im not specifically looking for big brakes, if i can get some upgraded rotors, pads, lines, calipers, ill be okay. Ill be Auto-Xing, drifting, occasional dragging. Any thoughts on the KVRs? I was thinking of getting KVR rotors, endless pads, goodridge lines? what do you think? by the way, ill be staying with my KA N/A for a while and then turbo.

300zx front brakesfront and rear stainless lines300ZX master cylinderKVR carbon kevlar all around.

All this can be had for around $750-$800 if you look hard enough, much cheaper than a brand name "big Brake" kit. :)

After I get some new KYB GR-2 rear shocks installed (did the fronts already) I'm going to tackle the brake system next.

I've been thinking of going with Powerslot rotors and then some Hawk HPS Street or some EBC Greenstuff pads.

I feel more comfortable with slotted as opposed to drilled rotors.

If you're looking for another big brake upgrade besides the 300ZX one, you should look in to the more affordable Q45 swap.

Edit: I'll eventually go with some re-manned calipers, a re-manned MC and some nice shiny stainless lines. Just going to do rotors and pads to start. I think you can get re-manned parts at really surprising prices.

The Powerslot and Hawk HPS setup would be a good upgrade with the stock calipers. Steer clear of drilled rotors. Unless they increase the rotor mass, it just removes too much material from the rotor. They are nice eye candy :crazy but slotted are the better choice for the long haul.
