Finishing my brake job on my 95Qa today and wondering about the opinions here of using a "plastic" compound on the shims and pads. Permatex "Disc Brake Quiet" is what I am considering.

Thanks guys

Shouldn't be necessary, especially with OEM pads.

OEM pad kit should include a packet of high temp. grease that is applied to backside of pads and both sides of shim/shim covers and guide pins

I've used both grease and the spray "glue" and both work very well. The spray is a little neater than grease though.
