This is from my remembering of the stuff I've read, so it may not be completely accurate, but I'm sure/hope they are.
1. Cross-drilled should wear out pads slower, it allows the heat to dissipate more quickly, thereby working the pad and rotor less.
2. Slotted is same idea, but less effective than cross-drilled. Main difference is that cross-drilled can get warped easier (drilling holes in anything will lower their structural integrity).
3. Sure Brembo costs more. They probably make very little difference; however, I don't want to go crashing down the side of a canyon because I wanted to save $100 on rotors. Don't skimp on important things . If anything, it's peace of mind.
4. Theoretically, steel braided lines help w/ better stopping power because of the slack created by rubber lines expanding from heat. If you are gonna get new rotors, why not lines? .
5. Just don't get metal pads, they squeak like mad. OEM is always at least decent, however, lately even they have been using lower quality material (just did my rear brakes a few months ago), and they tend to get squeaky also.
For more info, I believe there is a big brake kit/300zx brake kit on group buy on zilvia. The guy who runs it puts in a lot of info, similar to what I've said above but in much more detail. You can go there and read up on it for better details.
hope that helps
