I am looking to replace my rotors and pads on my car.

I have a 96 200SX with a 1.6 GA engine.

From what I've gathered, my car comes with 9.1 inch diameter rotors. And the SER models that came with the SR20 have 9.7 inch diameter rotors. Will 9.7 inch rotors fit on my car?

O_o

I'm learning as I go here, flame if you have to...

Thanks.

One thing I forgot to add, what are the best brands to look at? And where can I get the best prices?

I would say to stick with rotors that are the asme diameter.

As for brands there are several to choose from. Personally I like the Hawk HPS pads.

I second the HPS. They're surprisingly low dust and noise for the grip. The only noise is a slight groan in the rear when on a hill occasionally, and that may be my aftermarket suspension bits.

If you upgrade rotors to a big size, then you have to upgrade the torque member and probably the caliper as well. If you want bigger brakes, find some nx2000 brakes. Bigger caliper and 10.1" rotor.

I was thinking of picking up Hawk pads eventually for the Conquest and teh Sentra.
