my 240 has been parked in my parking stall for about 6 months and i am now getting my engine swapped in. but my breaks make a high pitch bell sound do to rust i think. do i need to by new break rotors or just drive on it hoping it will go away with time?

check your pads for material on em before changing your rotors. my guess is that the squeal's coming from the wear indicator. btw it doesn't help that you're using a dog to brake your car lol

u can take it apart & just sand the rotors in a circular pattern to get rid of the surface rust, sand the pad material as well... & finally clean/relube the sliding pins & whatnot...

<but that's just me>
