Hi folks,

I recently changed out my brakes for some new Stoptech slotted and drilled brakes, flushed out brake fluid and changed out the brake lines. Brakes are very good but I noticed when I want to brake, I have to press fairly hard for my car to start braking. Does any other G drivers have this also? When I lightly tap my brake or tap it 15-20%, my brakes do not kick in until I have to press harder and sometimes all the way, although sometimes when I tap it lightly, it does start braking quickly. I am scared something is wrong with my brakes since I have to drive up the mountains to go to school.

Also, i noticed that I have been getting shocked from my car everytime I step out and touch the outside of my car. I know this can be caused by a short in the circut but I was wondering if there can be other reasons for that to happen and if it is a short, how will i find it. Thanks in advance!

Check your brake fluid levels...did you bleed the air out of the system? I would bleed again.

As for the shocking, most likely static. Try holding on the door sill when you exit the car to help prevent. Just be careful with fill-ups.

Hey, recently i flushed out my brake fluids. Just got new tires on my car and I feel like my brakes are better. I don't have to press as hard for my brakes to start working more effectively. I am going to see how long this lasts though. I also figure out why I was getting shocked, it was those Adidas track pants that I wear to the gym. Bought 3 pairs and I wear them alot now, but I probably wont wear it when I drive. ;p

I used to get shocked all the time in my Maxima which had cloth seats. Never been shocked in my G with leather seats though.
