i installed new front pads this weekend and found that one of my slides was broken so with a little heat and a hammer i fixed that.the calipers seemed to be ok when i clamped them to releive the pressure but after everything was installed i now have a vibration when im driving and a thumping noise. the noise goes away when i press the brakes but the vibration is still pulsing...i was thinking i may have a warped rotor since there not in the best of shape and that slide not working before but my dad says a caliper might be hanging up. what do you guys suggest?

If you feel a pulsation when you apply the brakes then you have a warped rotor(or rotors). To see if you have a caliper hanging up,put the car on jack stands and make sure you can spin each wheel after applying and letting off the brake pedal.
