Brake Problems

Last night when I park my car on a hill I pull the E-brake and release the foot pedal brake. When I released it he ca brgin to roll down the hill at a slow speed and while I sat in it. So I move the to flat ground and put o ht E-brake again for safety reasons. But after I did that I got out and try to push the car and it would not move. So i was wondering what I can do about the problem becuase I want to be able tp park on a hill with being worry about the car rolling off. Can anyone please help me out and give me some go advice. .

1. Does the Ebrake Handle feel soft when you pull up on it?

If yes: then all you need is to tighten the 10mm nut which will tighten the ebrake cable. You can locate it towards the base of the ebrake handle in a little hole through the rubber grip. This is very common.

2. Does your foot brake function normally?
