Brake problems?

I've got a 90 240sx. that has some problems with the brakes. All the pads are nearly new. They are blead correctly.

But the peddle is really hard and not that responsive. You have to press pretty hard just to get them to work. Is this the brake booster?? Hose not hooked up to it or is it the master cylinder??

its likely your booster or lack of vaccum to it.

brake booster. make sure the vaccum line is hooked up, if it is, then use a vaccum gauge and pump to apply vaccum and see if it holds or if its leaking and allowing air in. also check to make sure the check valve is working right and allowing air in the right direction
