Last night while going to change out the alternator on my moms car I pulled up and looked at the car for about ten minutes looking at s*** and cleaning the battery terms off and then went to AutoZone and on the way I went to use the brakes and they went all the way to the floor. they still stop me but my azz aint driving far. It doesnt pump up and the brake fuid is full. I upgraded my rears to the brembo z32 crossed/slotted a few months ago and everything looks fine. I'm leaning towards the master or the brake booster. I had plans on upgrading to the z32 or the auto 240 master but not quit sure. They worked one minute and not the next. they are bled well and no leaks and no kinks in the lines as well. Its a 96 se non abs 5 spd. booster or master? Recommendations? Either ways its easy to swap so.......

Are you running z32 calipers on all four axles with the stock 240 master cylinder?

Sounds like your M/C. Mine did the same thing when it went out.

I will sell you my old M/C that has 6 months use on it for... say 40 shipped if you want. My stock M/C went out about 6 months ago, replaced it with a stock replacement, then I upgraded to Z32 M/C last week.

Let me know if you are interested.

Brake Master Cylinder because if it was the brake booster your brake pedal would get very hard and it would be very very hard to brake.

For some odd reason, I found this thread in the RWD SR forum..?

I'll gladly scoot it to the tire/wheel/brake/susp. forum for you. :)

M C is the likely suspect on this one.
